The Advantage Glass Filter is an optional Koi pond filter that is available for those who insist on the clearest water possible.
The Glass filter polishes the water by filtering out the smallest of particles, which takes clarity to even higher level then any other filter available....
This Glass Filter is designed to operate in conjunction with the Advantage bead filter as the next filtering stage. This is only a polishing filter and will not operate well by its self.
The Advantage Glass Filter is offered in two sizes, the 10 and 15. The Advantage 10 Glass filter is for ponds up to 10,000 gallons. The 15 are for ponds up to 15,000 gallons. The 10 model must be matched with the Advantage 10 bead filter and the 15 Glass filter model must be installed in series with the Advantage 15 Bead Filter.

The results are amazing! Since the bead filter is performing any needed mechanical and biological filtering, this filter traps all the remaining tiny particulates that may have passed through the bead filter. This results in water that is not only crystal clear, but has a "sparkle" to it like clean drinking water.

A unique head design reduces loss of the glass media during back washing. To easily access the glass media, just unscrew the top. (30 sec.)

Years of research and testing have resulted in the ideal size of custom manufactured glass media. The glass filter utilizes a screened and specific size media, which results in low flow loss and maximum trapping of debris.

When the Advantage "Glass" Filter is properly plumbed in series with the Advantage "Bead" filter, both filters can easily be back washed using the bead filter’s blower by simply adjusting the appropriate valve settings.
Instructions are provided for simple installation and operation. During the backwash procedure, the use of a blower is required to properly loosen and clean out debris that the Glass filter has trapped.
Located at the top of the Advantage Glass filter is a valve that is used during the backwash procedure. See backwashing glass filter instructions for using the valve. The valve is designed with a screen inside to keep the media in the filter during backwashing.
